The Jay Kipps Band has crafted something new and different – drawing heavily on diverse influences ranging from Americana and surf music to murder ballads and classic rock tracks reminiscent of a simpler time. Coming off the recent international release of their first EP followed by their debut full length studio album “How To Polish Your Longhorns” the Jay Kipps Band have developed a unique, raw, nearly visceral style. Dipping into a wide variety of genres they tie everything together with their honest interpretation of the blues. While their original songs speak of home, loss, love and life; their select covers will grab you by the heart strings and have you dancing in the street. Fronted by singer, songwriter and powerful harmonica player Jay Kipps and supported by local talent Morgan Smith on lead guitar, Frank Pesce on Bass and Rob Sproul on drums.
